Project Brief

As Nissan Ireland’s appointed Electric Mobility Operator, eStation was engaged to deliver a complete EV Charging solution at their headquarters in Park West, Dublin. A key requirement of the project was the integration of the site’s extensive rooftop solar installation into the overall charging infrastructure.

The brief focused on developing a scalable and cost-effective system that would:

  • Evaluate workplace charging requirements to support employee needs
  • Deliver a solution capable of meeting current demand while allowing for future expansion
  • Identify the most suitable charging outputs for a range of EV users
  • Provide a clear, efficient, and user-friendly charging experience

Our Solution

We began by analysing employee driving patterns and charging behaviours to determine the most appropriate mix of charger types and outputs. In parallel, we assessed the available electrical infrastructure on-site, including both grid supply and solar generation capacity, to understand how best to support the system.

By integrating the solar array with Dynamic Load Management and accounting for user demand patterns, we implemented a workplace charging solution that optimises energy usage. This approach not only improved cost efficiency but also reduced the need for significant electrical upgrades, ensuring a future-ready system aligned with sustainability goals.
