Project Brief
JLL approached eStation to help provide EV Charging facilities at multiple office locations in Citywest Business Campus, Dublin, Ireland.
eStation was tasked with creating a cost effective, scalable solution by incorporating the below key objectives:
- Assess EV Charging infrastructure requirements to meet current demands.
- Design a solution that can initially manage current demand, but also be easily expandable to meet future needs
- Determine best combination of charging output characteristics to serve the needs of EV Drivers
- Deliver charging infrastructure that is paid for by the EV driver, at the point of consumption. In effect, they wanted the EV Charging infrastructure fully monetized.
- Ensure the user experience was simple, clear and efficient.
- Ensure the on-going administration of the system was kept to an absolute minimum.
Our Solution
Firstly, we needed to determine & understand the profile of the typical user, their charging requirements and price point to avail of the EV Charging infrastructure we could offer. We then needed to understand the available electrical infrastructure and the type of charging equipment it could support.
With the use of Dynamic Load Management and user diversity we designed a solution that was cost effective, minimized electrical upgrade requirements, and crucially delivered upon the monetisation needs of JLL.
